Competing in a hidden talent competition at the Spa Ballroom, Bridlington, on Friday, Anita Smalley, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs. Arthur Smalley, of 37, Sycamore Road, Mexborough was placed second.

Anita, who is eleven, sang “I heard a robin singing.”

A pupil of Doncaster Road School, she had several municipal engagements before her eleventh birthday.
