The wedding took place at Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday of Mr. John Leslie Wass, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Wass, 91, Hirstgate, Mexborough, and Miss Ethel Smithson youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Smithson, 23, Schofield Street, Mexborough, wearing a two-niece outfit of dusty pink with brown accessories and carrying pink roses. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. W. Smithson.

Mrs. J. Pisby (matron of honour) wore a tweed costume and carried pink carnations.

The best man was Mr. R. Belk. and the groomsman Mr W. Noble.
