Carroll & Laughton
At Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday, the Rev. E. B. A. Somerset officiating, Miss Barbara Laughton, daughter of Mr. Edward Laughton, 9, Shelley Street, Mexborough, was married to Mr. Charles Wilfred Carroll, son of the late Mr. C. W. Carroll.
The bride’s gown was of pink and silver satin, and she carried pink carnations. The bridesmaids, Misses Muriel Jenkinson
and Jean Evans, wore pink and blue satin and carried white carnations. The bridegroom’s gifts to them were gold bangles. Mr. Thomas Laughton was best man and Mr. Albert Jenkinson groomsman.
