“Three Fishers went Sailing.”

Three redoubtable Mexboro’ anglers, Mr. W. Bunting, Mr. A. Winter, and Mr. T. Parkinson, one day last week pulled 100lbs. of cod out of Filey Bay—one of the best performances of the Filey fishing Season.

This is a photograph of the fishermen and’ some of fish—about 80lbs, They baited with mussels-18 stone of them—and took the fish with rod and line from a boat.

In achieving this notable success they combined muscle with mussel, for some of the cod objected very violently.

They shared about equally in the success, and contributed about equally to it, for Mr. Bunting supplied the mussels, Mr. Parkinson the tackle, and Mr Winter the very necessary refreshment which sustained them in their extraordinary exertions.

On your left you see Mr. Bunting, and Mr. Winter, on your right the boatman and Mr. Parkinson.
