The Gipsy Princess
Mexborough Amateur Operatic Society’s Production
Well Up To Standard

Principals in the Mexborough and District Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society’s production, next week, of “A Gipsy Princess.”

Left to right, top row: Agnes White (solo dancer), Vera Villiams (Sylva), A. Rimmer (Ronald) and E. Boden (Boni).

Middle row: B. Wilson (Stasi) and E. Boden (Boni), C. Dimberline (Nitch), R. Coleman (Niblo), R. Melbourne (Notary), A. Rimmer (Ronald), V. Williams (Sylva).

Bottom row: G. Sykes (Juliska) and A. Houlton (Feri), W. Clay (Anita) and W. Gledhill (Prince Edwin), J. Williams (Eugene) and B. Wilson (Stasi).

“The Gipsy Princess” is one of the lesser known musical comedies, but it is a very delightful work and patrons next week will find it well up to the usually ambitious and excellent standard which the Society have achieved in past years. The production is again in the capable hands of Mr. Jack Snelgrove, whose thoroughness has been manifested in many previous shows. The musical director is again Mr. J. W. Farnsworth, and Miss Agnes White is dancing mistress.

Mr. Arthur Rimmer, of Kilnhurst, makes his debut with the Society in the role of Prince Ronald.
