The Champion School

The Garden Street, Council School team, who broke all local school football records by winning both the Mexborough Association schools league trophy and the Montagu shield (in knockout competition) in one season.

They are also the first Mexborough school to win the league trophy. It has been offered for seven seasons; Kilnhurst Council won it four times, Rossington Street (Denaby) once and Roman Terrace once.
