Wounded In Italy
Mrs. W. Wraith of 57, Kirby Street, Mexborough, received word the day after another son returned from a home leave after three years abroad, that her third son, Gunner William Wraith (22), had been wounded in the head in Italy and was dangerously ill.
Gunner Wraith has served for 2 ½ years in the Middle East and in Italy, joining the Forces 3 ½ years ago.
His brother Assistant Cook Charles Wraith (24), who has served in the Royal Navy seven years, recently returned from America where his ship refitted following an action on the Sicilian coast some time ago.
