Ten Years’ Service

Mr. James Haigh, 28 years’ old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Haigh, 10, Quarry Street, Mexborough, is serving abroad with the Forces.

He attended Mexborough National School, and worked until he was 18 at Barnburgh Colliery.

He subsequently enlisted, and has spent six years in India. He returned in 1936, and left Mexborough for his station in August of this year.

Mr. and Mrs, Haigh have had two letters from Jim reporting “all O.K.”
