With The Eighth Army  

Trooper Ernest Cooper, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Cooper, of 18. Helena Street. Mexborough, is 26 and is serving with the Eighth Army in the Middle East as a driver in the Royal Tank Corps.

Trooper Cooper was a glass worker at Kirk Sandal and on the outbreak of hostilities he volunteered for active service.

He has hers in the Middle East since July and in recent letters he writes that he is fit and well.

His wife and two children live in Doncaster.
