Good Wishes From France

Eight years old Joyce Careless, of 19, Cawood Street, Mexborough, has received from a nine years old French girl, Marthe Dondeyne, with whose parents her father, Mr. William Edward Careless, on active service, is billeted, a note of good wishes.

Mr. Careless has been in France about six weeks. He has been in the army two years, and was called up on August 24th. There are three children, of whom Joyce is the eldest.

Another brother, Stanley Careless, aged 21, has been in France nine weeks. He has been in the Army four years and was called up in August. He is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Careless, of 21, Cawood Street.

Another Mexborough man (also of Frederick Street) serving in France, is Mr. William Corker.
