Missing

Mrs. Calladine. Of 27, Windhill Terrace, has received official information that her husband, Pte. Horace Walter Calladine (24), K.O.Y.L.I., has been missing In Burma since February.

Before Joining the Army over three years ago. Pte. Calladine was a surface worker at Barnburgh Main.

He went out East three months after enlisting. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Calladine, 164, Hirstgate, Mexborough, and has one child.

Any news of his whereabouts will be gratefully received by his wife.

Presumed Killed

Mrs. H. Calladine of 27, Windhill Terrace, Mexborough, received news on Saturday that her husband Pte. Horace Calladine, reported missing in February 1942, during the Burma campaign, is now presumed killed near the Sittang River, about February 23rd 1942.

Second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Calladine of 164, Hirstgate, Mexborough. He leaves one daughter aged seven.

Pte. Calladine joined up in October 1939 and left England for Burma in January 1940.
