Presentation To Queen Mother

Miss H Stuart Sheard, Matron of Mexborough Montagu Hospital since October, 1955, on Monday afternoon will be among 300 nurses who are being honoured by being presented to the Queen Mother at the Queen Mary Hospital, Westminster.

Miss Stuart-Sheard told a “South Yorkshire Times” reporter this week that she was looking forward to the presentation tremendously. She said it was by way of a “good-bye ceremony” before the nurses leave the country for Rome, to attend the National Congress of Nurses.

The Congress takes place in Rome from May 27th to June 1st. Miss Stuart-Sheard, being a member of the Westminster Hospital League, was chosen by them to attend the Congress. She said 57 other countries will also be represented at the Rome Visit.
