Police Court Briefs
For failing to notify change of ownership of a motor-cycle, George James Butler, miner, of Mexborough, was ordered to pay 4s. costs.
Patrick Cusack, motor-driver, Denaby, was fined 9s. for having a motor-cycle rear plate not illuminated; while Frank Oldfield, clerk, Conisborough, was fined 12s. for a similar offence, and 25s. because his motor-cycle was without two independent brakes.
For this latter offence Harry Joseph Mitchell, electrician, Darfield, was fined 25s.; Barnaby Steele, joiner, Bolton-on-Dearne, 20s.; and John Frederick Trowbridge, builder, Swinton, 20s.
For not having a wireless licence, Harry Halliday, miner, Mexborough, was fined 20s.
Fred Kent, electrician, Conisboro’, was fined 10s. at Doncaster on Saturday for cycling on Conisboro’ Crags.
A summons against William Lee, miner, Goldthorpe, for having driven a motor-cycle with an inefficient silencer, was dismissed by the Doncaster West Riding magistrates on Saturday.
