Mexborough Well Beaten by Forest Reserves.

Nottingham Forest Reserves fielded strong team against Mexborough on the City ground yesterday, and had they been a little steadier in front of goal they would have gained a more substantial victory.

They were especially fault in the early stages, although Best and his co-defenders did their work gallantly. At times the visitors made some dangerous attacks, but they never reached the standard of the home team.

Dawson scored twice for Forest the first half, Fleetwood replying just before the interval. In the second Coyles scored from a penalty. Dawson completed his hat trick,” and Chambers scored two more near the end
