After being four goals in arrears Mexborough Athletic forced a draw at Newark, last night. Dovey opened the scoring for Newark after 26 minutes and George Smith followed with two more before the interval.

Dovey obtained fourth a few minutes after the re-start, and then Mexborough prettv well monopolised the play. Higginbottom shot and Whitworth turned the ball into his own goal. same player got a second, Hancock the third, and Briggs put the scores level five minutes from the end
