Mexborough and Swinton Times March 23, 1940

New Minister.

The Rev. Evan D. Davies, of Mill Street Unitarian (Free) Church, Manchester, who has accepted the Mexborough Free Christian Church ministry, will be inducted on April 6th.

He is 28 and was educated at St. David’s College School, Lampeter, and the Unitarian College and Victoria University, Manchester.

He was a student minister at Mill Street church from 1936 to 1937, and has been minister there since 1937. He is joint secretary of the Northern Sunday School Federation, which includes all Unitarian Sunc1.3y Schools in the northern counties.

His ministry at Mexborough commences on the first Sunday in April.
