New Living for Minister

Mr. Albert Smith, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Smith, 30, Adwick Road, has accepted an invitation to become minister of the Trafalgar Street Unitarian Church, Burnley.

Mr. Smith was formerly a member of the Mexboro; Free Christian Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher (later superintendent) and frequently preached. For several years he was a lay reader in the Sheffield district and in 1927 went to London to gain ministerial experience. While there he took charge of the Kentish Town Unitarian Church. In 1929 he entered the Unitarian College, Manchester, and later went to Victoria College where he gained the University certificate in Biblical knowledge.

Mr. Smith hopes to take up his duties at Burnley in August.
