Wedding: Wright & Fowler

Miss Dorothy May Fowler, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Fowler, 107a, Market Street, Mexborough, was married at the Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday by the Rev. E. B. A. Somerset, to Mr. James Arthur Wright, eldest son of Mrs. Kitchen, 86, Balby Street, Denaby, and the late Mr. J. A. Wright. The bride wore ivory satin beaute and crystals and carried pink carnations and white heather. She was attended by Misses A. Fowler and L. Kitchen in pale green taffeta lace and carrying yellow chrysanthemums; and four junior attendants, M. Sharpe, D. Cooke, M. Sutton and I. Fowler, in lemon satin and Juliet caps, and carrying carnations. Mr. Ernest Wright was best man, and Mr. Douglas Fowler groomsman. A reception was held in the Methodist (P.M.) School. The gifts included one from the Methodist (P.M.) Church, Denaby, where the bride is organist. At the reception the bride’s mother wore black georgette and lace, black and white hat, and a spray of white carnations and heather; and the bridegroom’s mother blue crepe-de-Chine with hat to tone, and a similar spray.
