This Old Mexborough picture sent in by Miss H. Prince, of 128, Sandymount Road, Wath, dates probably just before the first World War, and shows a group of Mexborough tradesmen on a day trip.

Miss Prince’s mother, who was cook at the Montagu Arms for many years, bought the picture at a sale of the late Mr Peters’ property over 20 years ago. Mr Peters was landlord of the Commercial Hotel, Mexborough.
