Mexborough in Form.

Mexborough played the right wing Aston- Bramley combination, which did so well earlier in the season, in their match with Lincoln at Hampden Road.

Although Lincoln began with good football, there was never any real doubt as to the issue’ for Mexborough were on top form.

Davis, who deputised at centre-forward for Taylor was largely responsible for a big improvement in the forward line. Besides doing the “hat trick’’ he opened out the game briskly.

In the defence Gilliver proved able substitute to Burkinshaw, injured, and Kennedy at centre-half played another impressive game. Bramley and Saxton got the other two goals for Mexborough, and Stevenson and Hill (through his own goal) scored for Lincoln. Mexborough won 5—2.
