Presentation

Mr W.L. Hitching, of Church St, Mexborough, was presented with an inscribed Prayer Book on Monday, to mark his services to Mexboro’ Parish Church.

Mr. Hitching, who is leaving Mex-borough, was a member of the Parochial Church Council and a lay reader. An accountant at Mexborough branch of the National Provincial Bank, he is to take up the post of manager of the Mirfield branch.

The Prayer Book, inscribed by Mr. Stuart Mawson, Mexborough Council Surveyor, thiswas a gift from the Vicar and the Church Council, and was presented by the Rev. A.J. Bishop.
