Mexboro Distinction.

First Woman Solicitor.

Miss Evelyn Miriam Hall, eldest daughter of Mr. R E. Hall, solicitor, of Mexborough, and clerk to the Mexborough Urban Council, has passed the final examination of the Incorporated Law Society, which quaillies her to practise as a solicitor. She is the first woman solicitor in the district in our knowledge.

Miss Hall was educated at the Mexborough Secondary School and Marlborough College, Titherington, and after completing her training was articled to her father. For the present she will continue to practise with her father, and her future plans are not yet decided.
