On Monday the Mexborough hippodrome reopens after a long spell of idleness, with the popular play, “Peg O my heart,” by the Strong company got together by Mr Terence Byron, the leading repertory manager, was also companies are paying at Grimsby, Bradford, Oldham, Manchester (three theatres), Chester, Peterborough and in the New Year at the Sheffield Royal.

As in former days, it will play twice nightly but with new times of commencement: 6.45 and 8.50.

Prices have been “caught” at present needs and will suit all pockets, ranging from 1/– to 4d unreserved and 1/3 to 8d reserved. At these prices Mexborough will be amongst the cheapest “theatre town” in the country for class of work to put on by Mr Byron.
