Hidden Talent

Sergeant Arthur Morton (22), 161 Adwick Rd, Mexborough, won first prize of £5 last week at a Hidden Talent Competition at Bridlington Spa by singing “Hear my Song, Violetta.”

He is a Sergeant cook in the army, and now attached to the R.A.O.C. Sergeant Martin has hitherto only taken part in N.A.A.F.I. concerts and has had no musical training, although he is also an accomplished self-taught pianist.

He is hoping to take part in the finals of the Hidden Talent Competition, with the winners of each week, on September 30.
