Ex-Sheffield United Forward Goes to Worksop.

Mexborough Athletic yesterday transferred Stanley Taylor, their well-known centre-forward, to Worksop Town, for which club he will play against Mexborough, at Worksop, to-morrow.

The old Sheffield United player joined Mexborough in the 1925-26 season, when he helped Mexborough to win the Midland League Championship. Last season he was Mexborough’s leading scorer with 32 goals.

This term he has eight’ goals to his credit, though he has not played regularly and has had trials at outside right. Taylor should of good service to Worksop.
