An excellent view of the Elizabethan Bible which, as reported by our last issue, is in the possession Mrs. Epworth (in the picture), widow of Mr. John Epworth, Rose Villa, Mexborough, into whose family it came over a century ago from Mr. William Glaseby, then Parish Clerk of Mexborough.
The imprint shows the Bible to have been printed in 1588.
