With five-year-old Eric Jackson, Victoria Road, Mexborough, sitting up in the bed, the Eliza Squires Cot, in commemoration of Mrs Squires’ devoted service to the Montagu Hospital, Mexborough, was opened on Wednesday, when a memorial plaque above the bed was unveiled by the Hospital President, Mr W P Turner.
