The Rev. Joel Hodgson, Primitive Methodist minister, of Mexborough, has reached his 90th birthday.
He is a native of Lincolnshire, and began preaching when eleven years old, being famed at that time throughout East Anglia as the “”boy preacher”
He went to Mexborough in 1879 as superintendent of Mexborough circuit
