Dancing Mistress

Miss Betty Smith, youngest daughter of Mr Mrs Frank Smith, Banksy, Mexborough has been appointed gymnasium and dancing mistress at  the Convent of Mercy  High school, Doncaster.

Miss Smith was articled with Miss Amy Twigg of Rotherham, and has taken solo dancers in a number of amateur and professional productions at Blackpool, York, Sheffield and Harrogate.

She has also appeared in local amateur Operatic Society shows and has been responsible for a share of the dancing.

She is to continue teaching in Mexborough, where she has had a studio for the past eight years.

Two years she branched out at Doncaster, and with her pupils has benefited many local charities.
