Chapter of Accidents at Mexbro’ Montagu

April 1891

Sheffield Independent – Saturday 11 April 1891

Chapter of Accidents at Mexbro’.

The Mexbro’ Cottage Hospital has such demands made upon it that the erection of an additional wing, which is in contemplation, is urgently needed.

In addition to the accidents at Denaby, reported in another column, two pony drivers, Edgar Carr, of Manvers Main, and Richard Gregory, of Denaby Main, have been admitted, the former suffering from scalp wounds, and the latter from fractured limbs. They were both caught between corves.

The young man Fletcher, who has been in the hospital several weeks, has become so prostrate that it is feared he will not rally.
