Buried By Fall of Roof

On Sunday morning three Mexborough miners, while engaged in following their occupation, passed through a series of grave perils in the Denaby pit.

A fall of roof came and buried all three men.

Thomas Dudhill, of 40, Clayfield Road, and Frank Furner, of 20, Pitt Street, both sustained broken legs. They were removed to the Fullerton Hospital, where they are now progressing favourably.

A third man named Muxworthy, who was also buried by the fall of roof, had a fortunate escape from serious injury, and was able walk to his home.
