A New Face

It is reported that in Germany a new amusement which is having considerable vogue is that of making death masks from living subjects.

Here is a picture of such a mask, made, not in Germany but in South Yorkshire. This plaster mask was made by two Mexborough Boy Scouts, Sydney Butler and Edwin Grant, and the “subject” is their good-natured cub mistress, Miss Marjorie Goodwin. The photograph shows how strikingly faithful an effect can be obtained.
