A Mexborough Girl Vocalist.
At the Doncaster West Riding police court yesterday, Jane Collindridge, of Mexborough, was summoned for aiding and abetting her 13- years-old daughter to sing for alms in a publichouse at Mexborough.
It was stated that a pianist at the hotel, informed by the mother that the girl was 18, engaged her to sing at 10s. a night.
Inspector Varley said he was informed that the girl sang in clubs in Rotherham and that the mother was solely to blame.
The woman was ordered to pay 55s. costs
