A Half Year’s ‘Bag’ for J F. Hacking

JF Hacking, the old Mexborough secondary school boy, with the trophies  he has one this year alone.

His principal successes to date are the Sheffield ‘Varsity for 440, 880, mile, 3 miles, inter-‘Varsity 3 miles.

With the Hallamshire Harriers he was a member of the record-breaking team in the Brighton Relay, and of the winning team in the National Cross country Championship.

Last year he won the ‘Varsity victor ludorum, his Varsity distinctions include:

3 miles: six seconds in the record

1 mile: one second on the record

Three-quarter mile:.003 second on record

Quarter-mile:.2 seconds under record
