Fatal Colliery Accident

Yesterday at  the Montagu Hospital, Mexborough, a Swinton labourer, Percy Jenkinson, died from  injuries received at the Manvers Main Colliery the previous day.

He  was employed  on the coke ovens, and getting his foot  tangled in some piping was caught by the  flames from the oven and sustained  burns which proved fatal.
