Private George William Tuckwood 

Private Tuckwood, son of Mr and Mrs Wilfred Tuckwood, 68 Dolcliffe Road, Mexborough, was wounded in September 27 in the assault on Cambrai, and is now in hospital in Balby, Doncaster, with a compound fracture of the leg.

He is reported to be doing well.

He has been serving 2 1/2 years, and had been in France 10 months.

He is 20, and before enlistment was employed on the surface at Denaby Main Colliery.
