Hospital’s Problems.
Big Reduction in Overdraft at Mexborough.
At the quarterly meeting of the Mexborough Montagu Hospital on Saturday night, the financial statement showed income during the last three months amounting £2.715, and an expenditure of £2,512 considerable increase and reduction, respectively.
The bank overdraft has now been reduced from £4,365 to £1,765.
It was reported that during the quarter 355 major operations had been performed. In 1914 operations numbered 217, and the last quarter’s figures indicated how the work of the hospital had grown.
Discussion took place relative to the burdens placed upon hospitals through motor accidents, and the necessity for hospitals securing some protection was emphasised.
