Worry Over Long Waiting List
Week-End Effort Worth £440
Presentation at Mexborough
Perturbation at the serious proportions of the Mexborough Montagu Hospital waiting list, which now stands at more than 200, was expressed at a ceremony in the Board Room on Saturday when cheques totalling £440, proceeds of the recent Railway Exhibition, were presented to Mr. D. S. Humphreys, a member of the Board and chief promoter of the exhibition. Mr. F. J. Trotter (District Superintendent, L.N.E.R., Doncaster), presented a cheque for £405, and Mr. IL Wallace, chairman of the Carnival Committee, one for £34.
Mr. Humphreys said, “Our waiting list is more serious than it has ever been, and it is necessary we should take some steps to lower it.”
