Mr D.A. Walker (Dinnington) & Miss J Wilcock (Mexborough)
At Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday the wedding took place of Miss Joan Wilcock, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilcock, of 6, Windhill Terrace, Mexborough, and Mr. David Alfred Walker, eldest son of Mrs. Walker and the late Mr. D. Walker, of 16, Dinnington Terrace, Dinnington.
Given away by her father, the bride wore figured brocade satin, with veil and wreath of orange blossom, and carried red roses and white heather.
Bridesmaids were Misses P. Walker and D. Walker, in lavender coloured dresses. Miss J. Batty in deep blue, Miss L. Walker in mauve, and Misses B. Maltby and B. Taylor in duck-egg blue. Best man was Mr. B. Walker and the groomsman Mr. W. Wilcock.
The bridegroom is in the N.F.S. The couple received presents from their workmates at a factory.
