Miss Emma Walton, younger daughter of Coun. and Mrs. J. Walton, 35, Dryden Road, Mexborough, was married at Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday to Mr., Joseph Unwin, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Unwin, 31, Warmsworth Street, Denaby. The Vicar, the Rev. E. H. P. Rawlins, officiated.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a silk dress of rose pink and powder blue, with flaired skirt and puff sleeves, and carried pink and white tulips. Her only bridesmaid, Miss Miriam Walton, her sister, was in navy blue silk with flaired skirt and puff sleeves and hat to tone. She carried mauve tulips. The best man was Mr. James Waiton, brother of the bride.

A reception was held at the home of the ride’s parents. The bride’s mother was in a clover and gold silk dress with hat to tone and spray of mauve tulips. The bridegroom’s mother wore blue figured silk with hat to tone.

The bride’s father is a member of the West Riding County Council and chairman of the Finance Committee of Mexborough Urban Council.
