The wedding took place at Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday of Mr. Charles Prince, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Prince of 8, Queen’s Terrace, Mexborough, and Miss Irene Waddington, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. Waddington, 32, Chaucer Road, Mexborough.
Given away by her uncle, Mr. J. H. Lythell, the bride wore a gown of white satin with embroidered veil and wreath of orange blossom and carried white chrysanthemums. Miss Kathleen Waddington and Miss Rita Smith were bridesmaids in blue satin with blue and silver head-dresses.
Mr Appleyard and Mr. F. Waddington were best man and groomsman. The bride during the past four years has been assistant librarian at the Public Library. The bridegroom is in H.M. Forces.
