Chester & Sharp
A leading member of the Mexborough Rovers Scout troop was married at Wombwell Parish Church on Saturday. Mr. John Chester, only son of Mr and Mrs. John William Chester, 10, Dodsworth Street, Mexborough.
The bride was Miss Ena Sharp, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Sharp, 20, Bond Street. Wombwell. The bride wore white silk and carried white carnations. The bridesmaids, Misses Ruth Sharp and Myrtle Cross, wore floral georgette with net hats, and carried white and pink carnations.
The best man was Mr. William Sharp and the groomsman Mr. Wilfred Bort. The couple are honeymooning at Blackpool.
