The wedding of Miss Florence Rutter, only daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. A. E. Rutter, Bleak House, Mexborough, and Mr. Alan Close, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Close, Tickhill, took place at Mexborough Parish Church on Wednesday,the Rev. E. B. A. Somerset officiating.

The bride was given away by her father and wore ivory satin haute, and carried pink roses. She was attended by four maids; Misses Agnes Sayer, Agnes Deignell, Olga Ashmore and Mary Horton, in blue georgette; and four small attendants, Edna and Edith Rutter, and Eunice and Maud Ashmore, in pink georgette.

All wore small caps covered with pink and blue flowers.

The best man was Mr. Christopher Close and the groomsman Mr. W. Rutter. The honeymoon is being spent at Scarborough.
