The marriage of Miss Lily Norton. younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Norton, of 41, Queen Street, Swinton. and Mr. Thomas Massey, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Massey. of Park Road. Mexborough, took place at Swinton Parish Church on Saturday, the Rev. T. G. Rogers officiating.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white satin with diamante trimmings, and carried lilies.

She was attended by Misses Betty Clarke, Mary Massey, Olive Marriott, Jean Rodgers, Shirley Carr and Lois Massey, who wore dresses of blue satin, pale green taffeta, and pink taffeta, with head-dresses and shoes to tone. They carried gold chrysanthemums and posies of anemones. The bridegroom’s gifts to the bridesmaids were necklets and bangles.

The best man was Mr. Gordon Massey, and Messrs. Joseph Norton and Chas. Norton, were groomsmen. The bride’s mother wore a black crepe de Chine dress with hat and shoes to match.

After a reception the couple left for their home, which will be at Rothbury Avenue, Rainham, Essex. The bride travelled in a blue marocain dress with hat to tone.
