Mr. F. Charles (Mexborough) and Miss L. B. Hey (Mexborough)
Miss Lucy Bamforth Hey, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hey, was married on Tuesday at Mexborough Parish Church to Mr. Frank Charles, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Charles, of Church Street, Mexborough.
Given away by her uncle, the bride, who carried roses, wore a gown of French crepe and was attended by Miss Lucy Frudrick in green crepe with accessories to match. Miss Fredrick carried cream roses and received a dress ring from the bridegroom.
Mr. Amiss was best man and the groomsman was Mr. G. Havarth. The honeymoon is being spent at St. Anne’s and the bride travelled there in a Harris tweed costume with brown accessories. The bride, who is a Guide Captain is a member of St. George’s Church Council.
