The wedding took place at Mexborough Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Lillian Bizby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Bizby, of 163, Adwick Road, Mexborough, and Mr. G. F. Swingler, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. C. Swingler, of 15, Derwent Terrace, Mexborough.

The Rev. E. H. P. Rawlins officiated. The bride, given away by her father, was attired in a gown of gold satin beaute with coronet and shoes to tone. She carried bronze chrysanthemums, and was attended by Misses Sheila Bizby, Jean Unwin and Sylvia Ollernshaw, who wore pink satin beaute, and the matrons of honour were Mesdames Unwin and J. Hugill, who wore blue crepe and carried chrysanthemums.

The bridegroom’s gifts to the bridesmaid were gold bangles. The best man was Mr. R. Bizby, and the groomsman Mr J. E. Bizby.

A reception was held, after the ceremony by the bride’s mother home.
