At Mexborough Parish Church on Monday, the marriage was solemnised of Miss Mabel Acheson. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Acheson, of River Dale House, Lackagh, Drumquin, Co. Tyrone, Ireland, and Mr. Charles Arthur Pratt, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Pratt, of 7, Queen’s Terrace, Mexborough.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. William Thomas Graham Acheson, wore a blue two piece with accessories to tone and carried roses.

She was attended by Miss B. Pratt, the bridegroom’s sister, and Miss L. Cooper, the bridegroom’s cousin, in floral dresses with navy blue hats, shoes and gloves. The maids wore sprays of white carnations and received signet rings from the bridegroom.

Mr. Eric Atkinson was best man and the groomsman was Mr. Bernard Harris.

The honeymoon is to be spent at Norwich.
