Unjust Weights and Measures

On Saturday, at Doncaster, George Henry Elliott, innkeeper, Conisborough, and Josiah Venables, greengrocer Mexborough, were summoned under the Weights and Measures Act.

The former for being in possession of false and unstamped measures, and the latter for being in possession of false weights and unstamped measures.

Elliott was fined 20s. in each case, and Venables 14s. in each case, the fines including the costs.
