The Mexborough Drowning Case.
At the Mexborough Montagu Cottage Hospital yesterday, Mr. Wightman (District Coroner) held an inquest touching the death of George Good, aged five years, son of George Thomas Wm. Good, minor, 51, Wilkinson’s Yard. Mexborough.
The deceased had been missing since Friday afternoon, when he was last seen playmate near the canal side, throwing stones in the water.
Dragging operations were commenced on Saturday afternoon and continued Sunday, when the body was recovered about half-past two in the afternoon near to the flour mill.
A verdict to that the deceased was “Accidentally drowned” was returned.
