The Football Nuisance at Mexborough

Joseph Green, pork butcher, Mexborough, was summoned for playing at football on the highway at Mexborough on 19 March.

Defendant did not appear.

PC Goldsborough stated that he was on duty in high-street Mexborough, when he saw the defendant kick a ball onto the highway, striking a horse which was standing there.

The defendant was fined 10/–, inclusive of the costs/–.
